Message from the Dean
DEAN lula w. pelayo
The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) is proud to be USU's newest college, chartered in October of 2016 to meet the rising academic requirements for service readiness in technical and professional areas of healthcare and science practice within the Military Health System.
At CAHS, we are guided by our motto to “Train for the Mission, Educate for a Lifetime of Service.” Our students are trained across a wide range of subjects of critical importance to the MHS with our programs being driven by the needs and priorities of the Services. However, while their training is vital to ensuring our military’s readiness and improving the health and well-being of our service members and their families, CAHS also ensures students graduate with a recognized credential that reflects the skills and training they have mastered and can further their career when they transition to the civilian sector. We are committed to helping our students pursue their professional growth both during their military career and for years after.
TRAIN FOR THE MISSION, EDUCATE FOR A LIFETIME OF SERVICE
CAHS currently offers Associate of Science in Health Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degrees. Looking toward the future, we're also developing a number of graduate-level offerings in non-privileged areas of health science as requested by the Services. We look forward to continuing to build on USU’s illustrious legacy of training dedicated, high-quality, driven health professionals who ensure that those who commit themselves to serve our country receive the highest quality care.
Thank you for your interest in the CAHS, and here's to your future success!
